3. Finding the beginnings of tracks during playback ………………………

Automatic Search

(1) Moving ahead to the beginning of the next track

Either turn the jog dial (ENTER) on the main unit clockwise

(

,) or press the 9 (automatic search forward) button

on the remote control unit.

• During the search operation, turn the jog dial (ENTER)

on the main unit clockwise (

,) again or press the

9 (automatic search forward) button on the remote

control unit again to move further on to the beginning

of the following track.

Turn the jog dial (ENTER) on the main unit clockwise

,) or press the 9 (automatic search forward)

button on the remote control unit.

(2) Moving back to the beginning of the current track

Either turn the jog dial (ENTER) on the main unit

counterclockwise (

Pause

• Use this function to stop playback temporarily then resume from the same point

During playback, press the 1/3 (play/pause) button.

• The pause mode is set.

• Press the

1/3 (play/pause) button to resume playback

from the point at which the pause mode was set.

5. Playing tracks in a certain order ………………………………

Track Programmed Playback

• Use this function to select certain tracks from the disc and program them to play in a certain order.

•

Up to 25 tracks can be programmed.

Press the FUNCTION button and select MD.

In the stop mode, press the GROUP/PROG/DIRECT button and display “Track Program”.

• The “PROG” indicator lights.

Use the number buttons and the +10 button to select the tracks for programmed playback.

• For example, to program the 3rd, 12th and 7th tracks, press , , and .

• The tracks are played in the programmed order.
