The cursor changes each time the button is pressed to

indicate a different character type.

Capital letters: flashing

Small letters: flashing

Numbers: flashing

[Inputting characters from the main unit]

Turn the jog dial to select the first

character (letter, number or symbol).

When the jog dial is turned clockwise, the characters

(letters, numbers or symbols) change as shown below.

When turned counterclockwise, the characters change in

the opposite order.

Press the jog dial.

• The character is entered and the

cursor (flashing) moves to the right.

* To input other characters, repeat steps 5 and 6.

If you make a mistake, press the CLEAR button then start over from the beginning.

To move to another item (for example to input the artist’s name after inputting the disc name), press the ENTER button again

to return to step 3.

Press the WRITE button to cancel the disc file writing mode and return to the previous mode.

[Inputting characters from the remote control unit]

Press the TRACK/CAPS button to

select the type of character (capital

letter, small letter, number or

symbol).

Use the number buttons to select the desired character

(letter, number or symbol).

Press the ENTER button.

• The character is entered and the

cursor (flashing) moves to the right.

* To input other characters, repeat steps 8 to 10.

If you make a mistake, press the BCK SP (back space) button then input the correct character. (Refer to page 24.)

If the CLEAR button is pressed, all of the input characters are cleared, so start over from step 5 or 8.
