¢ To stop the auto preset operation before it is
completed:
Press BAND.
Broadcast stations whose signals are weak cannot be preset
automatically. To preset them, tune them in manually, then follow
the operation described at “Giving a name to the currently tuned in
broadcast station and presetting it”.
Example: To listen to the FM station preset at preset number 3.
Press [3] (NUMBER).
•Preset number “3” is displayed.
For preset numbers 1 to 10, press the corresponding ([1] to
[0/10]).
For preset numbers 10 and on, first press [+ 10] then press [0] to
[0/10].
Example: Preset 12 : [+ 10] [2].
Example: Preset 20 : [+ 10] [0/10].
The preset number can also be chosen using [
8] or [9].
¢ About the tuning and preset modes

frequency (tuning mode) and to select the preset station (preset
mode).
Switching between the tuning and preset modes
q To switch to the tuning mode:

NOTE:
If a station is preset at a number where a station has already
been preset, the old setting is deleted and replaced with the new
setting.
¢ To change the name of a preset station:
q Call out the station whose name you want to change, then press
[ENTER/MEMO] twice.
w Perform step 3 under “Giving a name to the currently tuned in
broadcast station and presetting it”.
¢ To only preset the station:
q Press [ENTER/MEMO] while the station is tuned in.
The “preset number” display flashes.
w Perform step 5 under “Giving a name to the currently tuned in
broadcast station and presetting it”.
ENGLISH
RDS (works only on the FM band) is a broadcasting service which
allows station to send additional information along with the regular
radio program signal.
¢ Program Type (PTY)
PTY identifies the type of RDS program.

The operations described below pressing [RDS] will not function
in areas in which there are no RDS broadcasts.
