AirPlay function
You can use this unit to play back music files in your iTunes music
libraries, iPhone and iPod touch.
NOTE
•Before using the AirPlay function, this unit must be connected to the
network. For how to connect this unit to the network, see “Network
connections” (vpage8).
•To use the AirPlay function, you must update iPhone or iPod touch
to iOS 4.2.1 or higher.
•For iPods that do not support Wi-Fi connection such as the iPod
classic and iPod nano, AirPlay playback is not possible. Perform
playback according to “Playing an iPhone and iPod with the USB
cable connected” (vpage12).
•The iPhone or iPod cannot be charged during AirPlay.

Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to the network.
•For details, see your device’s manual.

Startup iPhone or iPod touch music or iPod app.
is displayed on the iPhone or iPod touch screen.

Tap the AirPlay icon .

Tap the speaker (Cocoon Home) you want to play
back with.

NOTE
When the AirPlay function is used, this unit plays back at the volume
level set on iPhone, iPod touch, or iTunes.
First minimize the volume level on iPhone, iPod touch, or iTunes before
playback. Then, start playback and adjust the volume to the desired
level.
n Playing iTunes music with this unit

Install iTunes 10, or later, on a Mac or Windows PC
that is connected to the same network as this unit.

Turn this unit ON.

Launch iTunes and click the AirPlay icon
displayed in the lower right of the window and select
this unit from the list.
Music

Choose a song and click play in iTunes.
The music will stream to this unit.
Selecting multiple speakers (devices)
It is possible to play iTunes songs on your home’s AirPlay compatible
speakers (devices) other than those of this unit.

Click the AirPlay icon and select “Multiple”
from the list.

Check the speakers you want to use.
