Album art function

When a WMA (Windows Media Audio), MP3 or MPEG-

4 AAC ﬁle includes album art data, the album art can

be displayed while the music ﬁles are playing.

For music ﬁles in WMA (Windows Media Audio)

format, the album art is only played when using

Windows Media Player ver. 11.

Slide show function

Still picture (JPEG) ﬁles stored in folders on a music

server can be played as slide shows.

The time for which each picture is displayed can be

set.

When still picture (JPEG) ﬁles are played on the

ASD-51N, they are played in the direction in which

they are stored in the folder, so store in them in the

direction in which you want them to play.

Installing Windows Media Player ver. 11

q If Windows XP Service Pack 2 has not yet been

installed, either download it free of charge from

Microsoft or install it via a Windows update

installer.

w Download the latest version of Windows Media

Player ver. 11, either directly from Microsoft or

using a Windows update installer.

When using Windows Vista, there is no need

to download a new version of Windows Media

Player.

be played on the ASD-51N.

Contents downloaded from pay sites on the

Internet are copyright protected. Also, ﬁles

encoded in WMA format when ripped from a CD,

etc., on a computer may be copyright protected,

depending on the computer’s settings.

Napster is a monthly subscription music distribution

service provided by Napster. This service allows users

to download and play pieces of music they want to

hear on the ASD-51N. Before you can use Napster,

you will need to visit the Napster website on your PC

to create an account and register as a member. For

Rhapsody

Rhapsody is a paid music broadcast service of Real

Networks.

When you ﬁrst listen to Rhapsody, it is necessary to

subscribe to a Rhapsody account at the Rhapsody

homepage by your PC and register this machine. See

the Rhapsody homepage for details.
