Specifi cations

Press <SURR. PARA> or [PARA].
Parameter is displayed.

Use ui to select which parameters to adjust.
Only those parameters which can be adjusted under the current
playback status are displayed.

Use o p to adjust the parameters.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set each parameter.
Adjusting the parameters
n To exit adjustment
Press <SURR. PARA> or [PARA] during adjustment.
If no adjustment is made for a period of about 5 seconds, the
adjustments made up that point are registered and the AVR-689
returns to the original mode.
Surround Parameter
Adjust surround sound parameters.
The parameters (items) which can be adjusted differ
depending upon the following conditions.
Whether an input signal is present (when playing) or not
(when stopped, etc.).
The type of input signal
The type of surround mode
For details of which parameters can be adjusted in each
surround mode, see “Surround Modes and Parameters”
(vpage 57, 58).
