Load the discs you want to play in the CD and CD-R units.

Press the RELAY MODE button and select “Mix Play”.
• The “MIX” indicator lights.

Press the CD or CD-R unit’s RANDOM button on the remote control unit to set the random mode.
• The “RAND” indicator lights.

Mix random playback starts when the CD or CD-R unit’s play button is pressed.
• The sound is output from the CD/CD-R output jacks.
• To quit the mix mode, press the relay mode button and select “Single Play”.
NOTES:
• If the program and random mode is not set in the mix mode, the operation is the same as in the relay mode (with the
repeat mode off).
• When relaying between a CD and CD-R, the digital data from the CD/CD-R digital output terminal is interrupted
momentarily. The digital input of the connected external device is temporarily unlocked at this time.
3. Dual mode
★ In the dual mode, the CD unit and CD-R unit can be operated independently.
★ Manual recording from the main unit’s CD section can be performed.
★ It is possible to record from an external unit on the CD-R unit while playing a disc in the CD unit.

• The “DUAL” indicator lights.

Dual playback starts when the CD or CD-R unit’s play button is pressed.
• The sound of the CD is output from the CD-only output jacks and the sound of the CD-R is output from the CD/CD-R
output jacks.
• Only the sound of the CD-R is output from the headphones jack.
• The display can be switched with the DISPLAY SELECT button so that you can check the time information, etc., for
the CD and CD-R.
• To quit the dual mode, press the relay mode button and select “Single Play”.
