USB mode (Connection between DN-F450R) and the computer
When a computer is connected using the provided USB cable to
the USB port on the DN-F450R, the following operations can be
performed.
Transfers data stored on an SD card of DN-F450R to a computer and
plays back and copies data on the computer.
Transfers MP3 or WAV files stored in a computer to an SD card of
DN-F450R.
Connecting to a computer
The computer connected to the DN-F450R must be running one of
the following operating systems.
WindowsXP, Windows Vista, Windows7, MacOS X
When DN-F450R is connected to a computer, an SD card mounted
on DN-F450R is recognized as a removable disc by the computer.

Switch on the computer.
For details on how to operate the computer, see the computer’s
operating manual.

Press the power switch on the DN-F450R.
The DN-F450R power switches ON.

Mount the SD card into the DN-F450R.
For details on the mounting the SD card, see “Mounting SD card”
(vpage9).

While the DN-F450R is stopped, connect the
computer to the DN-F450R PC USB port using the
USB cable provided.
When the connection is complete, the DN-F450R display looks as
follows.
The computer will recognize the SD card mounted on DN-F450R
as a removable disc.

Remove the USB cable.
After the required tasks for USB mode are completed, remove
the USB cable from DN-F450R. The USB mode is canceled and
DN-F450R returns to the stopped state.
NOTE
Do not remove mounted SD card from the DN-F450R while it is
connected to the computer. Doing so may cause the data on the SD
card to become corrupt, and may damage the SD card.
n About DMP Mark Editor
You can use a computer to edit the files and marks recorded on a
SD card of DN-F450R with the supplied Windows application program
“DMP Mark Editor”.
