19 Auto Cue
Sets the auto cue function.
This item also sets the silent
level of the silent portion at
the beginning of a file.
Off: Turns the auto cue function off.
–48dB / –42dB / –36dB
The auto cue function temporarily stops playback at the point where
playback restarts after skipping the silent portion at the beginning of a file.
NOTE
If the silent portion cannot be detected at the beginning of a file even
after 20 seconds, the auto cue operation is automatically performed at the
beginning of the file.
20 Remote1
Sets the DN-F650R
operation to be performed
when a switch control
signal is received from an
external device connected
to Remote Terminal 1.
For details on the REMOTE
terminal 1, see “REMOTE
terminal 1” (vpage26).
StartPaus: During recording or playback, recording or playback starts
when the switch of the external device is closed (short), and
recording or playback is paused when the switch is opened
(open).
StrtPusTr: During recording, recording starts when the switch of the
external device is closed (short), and paused when the switch
is opened (open). Furthermore, if the switch is closed (short)
again while recording is paused, the file is updated to a new
file and recording restarts.
Mark: During recording or playback, a mark is added when the switch of
the external device is closed (short).
ManualTrk: During recording, if the switch of the external device is
closed (short), the file is updated to a new file and recording
continues.
21 ParaRem
(Parallel Remote)
Sets the operation mode for
the parallel remote function.
Normal:Sets the normal mode.
Hot start: Sets the Hot start mode.
For details on the parallel remote, see “Parallel control” (vpage40).
22 Keyboard
Sets the language type of
the keyboard connected to
the DN-F650R.
US (English) / UK (English) / FR (Français) / GE (Deutsch)/ IT (Italiano)
/ SP (Español) / DU (Nederlands) / SW (Svenska)
23 Machine ID
Sets the machine ID
information included in the
file name.
A maximum of 8 characters
can be input.
Preset-1/ Preset-2/ Preset-3
Since the default value of the machine ID is “1”, the name of the first
recorded file will be 1001.MP3 (when recorded in MP3 format).
If the machine ID is set as “aaaaa”, the name of the first recorded file
will be “aaaaa001.MP3“. If the machine ID is o characters, the file name
will be 001.MP3. (When recorded in MP3 format)
NOTE
The machine ID is common for the Preset-1 to Preset-3 settings. If it is
changed, the new machine ID is applied to all Preset-1 to Preset-3 settings.
24 Default
(Preset Default)
Preset settings are returned
to the default values for
each preset.
Preset-1/ Preset-2/ Preset-3
Yes : Resets the selected preset name and its setting values to their
default values.
No: Values are not returned to the defaults.
n Renaming presets
Firstly, select the preset number that you want to rename from “01 Presets” in the menu.
Next, select “03 Rename“.

Preset names can be
renamed according to
their use. A maximum of 8
characters can be input.
n Entering Characters
q Place the cursor in the position where you want to insert characters
using the
MARK+ and MARK buttons.
wRotate the jog dial to select the character to input.
ePress the jog dial to enter the character.
rRepeat steps q to e until all characters are entered.
tPress the jog dial when the entry is completed.
Saves the entered characters.
n Deleting Characters
q Place the cursor to the right of the character you want to delete the
MARK+ and MARK buttons.
wPress PLAY/PAUSE.
Deletes a character on the left of the cursor.
Eight-character default names are assigned to the preset names. To
rename an existing name, delete the currently set characters first and
then enter a new name.
The following characters and symbols can be entered.

To cancel without saving the entered characters, press the
MARK button
before saving.
These characters can also be entered using a USB keyboard.
