Example: Presetting FM station (currently tuned in) at preset number P03
Before operating the remote control unit!
Be sure to press the proper remote control
mode selector button to set the remote control
unit to the AV mode.

Tune in the broadcast station that is to be preset and
press the Memory button.
A P0 (P1, P2 or P3) indication flashes
for 10 seconds.

While the P0 (P1, P2 or P3) indication is
flashing, use the shift button and the channel (CH)
buttons (, +) to display the preset number P03.
Each press of the shift button adds 10 to the current preset
number in the range of P01 to P40.
Example:
Starting with a P13
setting, each press of
the shift button results
in the changes P13 /
P23 / P33 / P03 /
P13 /...
Example:
Starting with a P0 setting, each press of the shift button
results in the changes P0 / P10 / P20 / P30 / P40 /
P10 /...

Press the MEMORY button while the P03 display is
flashing.
The P03 display will light and presetting will be
completed.

Up to 40 AM or FM stations can be preset using this procedure.
In addition to the reception frequency, the reception mode (monaural or auto) is also preset, so check the display when
presetting stations.
If a station is preset at a number where a station is already preset, the previous station is replaced with the new station.
The preset memory is not cleared when the power cord is unplugged.
(4) Listening to preset stations
Example: Listening to the station preset at number P03 (This operation is only possible from the remote control unit.)

Be sure to press the proper remote control
mode selector button to set the remote control
unit to the AV mode.

Turn the FUNCTION/SELECT knob of the main unit or
press the FUNCTION button of the remote control and
select TUNER.

Select FM or AM.
The selected FM AUTO, FM MONO or AM is
displayed.
When using the remote control, the mode button is
used to select FM AUTO and MONO.

Adjust the receiving frequency.
When a station is received, the TUNED indication
will light.
NOTE:
A humming sound may be heard when using a TV nearby
while receiving AM programs. If this happens, move the
system as far from the TV as possible.
Auto tuning
When one of the Tuning +/ button is pressed, the
frequency changes in steps of 50 kHz in the FM band,
9 kHz in the AM band.
If one of the Tuning +/ button is held for over 1 second,
the frequency continues to change when the button is
released (auto tuning) and stops when a station is tuned
in.Tuning will not stop at stations whose reception is
poor.
To stop the auto tuning function, press the Tuning +/
button once.
FM Stereo Reception
When a program being broadcast in FM AUTO is
received, the ST indicator lights and the program is
received in stereo.
If reception is poor and there is much noise in the
stereo signals, press the BAND or MODE button to set
the FM MONO mode.
