Powerful, Versatile Amplifier
High-Quality Power Amplifier
High-speed, high-power transistors employed in a rational circuit configuration reflect DENON'S advanced amplifier
technology and ensure a very hefty, clean power output.
Pure Current Power Supply
The DRA-775RD is endowed with the same type of power supply circuitry as DENON'S best integrated amplifiers.
Known as the Pure Current Power Supply, it incorporates DENON'S original circuit and high-capacity transformer to sup-
press dynamic IM distortion by 60 dB, yielding high dynamic power.
Low-Impedance Speaker Drive
The power supply and power amplifier stage are designed to respond even to sudden dips in speaker impedance, so
that the speaker drive remains stable under all load conditions.
Discrete Chassis Construction
The signal path in the DRA-775RD is kept as short as possible from input to output. The power amplifier section, which
handles high-level signals, employs separate heat sinks in a totally separate symmetrical layout for the left and right
channels. Power supply circuitry is located close to the respective destinations to further prevent signal losses and elimi-
nate interference.
Frequency Synthesis Tuning
RDS Tuning System
The DRA-775RD offers four RDS features: RDS (station) Search, Program Type (PTY), Traffic Program Identification (TP),
and Radio Text Message (RT).
RDS Search lets you search for stations currently broadcasting RDS signals. PTY lets you select from among 22 types of
music and programs you want to listen to-such as Classical. Jazz, Rock. Top 40. News, Sports-and a station broadcasting
the selected type is automatically tuned in. TP, when turned ON, automatically tunes to a station which is about to
broadcast a traffic report. And RT receives and displays a message of up to 64 characters that the station tuned in is cur-
rently transmitting.
AM/FM 40 Station Random Preset Memory Tuning
The DRA-775RD offers random preset and recall of up to 40 stations. Tuning is as simple as pressing a button.
Auto Preset Memory
A maximum of 40 FM stations can be searched by the tuner and automatically stored into the preset memory. This fea-
ture is useful when you do not know all the frequencies of local stations.
Sophisticated Tuning Circuit Design
Thanks to the use of large-capacity microprocessor ICs in the tuning section, reception drift is a thing of the past. The
DRA-775RD also has a 3-pole varactor diode in its front end to guarantee accurate input of station frequencies.
