Home Theater Surround Sound

• Spacious 5.1-channel surround ambiance is

reproduced with just a single-box speaker unit

• X-SPACE SURROUND masterfully reproduces the

surround sound and expands the listening area

The cabinet of the front unit contains 6 speakers.

X-SPACE SURROUND is technology that uses those speakers

to generate surround algorithms. The sound waves released

from the speakers irradiate throughout the room, so that listen-

ers hear the sound from the front left and right, the centre, and

the rear left and right. Since X-SPACE SURROUND sends the

sound waves out over a wide area, listeners can enjoy surround

sound at any location in the room.

• Night Mode, to enjoy surround sound even at low

volume levels

The DHT-FS5 is equipped with Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital,

and DTS, decoders to reproduce not only digital sound from

DVD or STB but also analog video sound with the surround am-

biance that you might experience in a real cinema.

• Useful audio modes

The DHT-FS5 comes with 4 handy audio modes (MOVIE / MU-

SIC / STEREO / NEWS) to suit the type of audio you are listening

to. If you are listening to a news program or documentary, you

might choose NEWS mode to make the spoken words easier to

hear. If you are listening to music, you might switch to MUSIC

mode as it is better suited for music programs.

• Full-range speakers, for greater clarity in spoken words

Since the sonic waves reach listeners' ears after being radiated

from the speakers throughout the room, the use of full-range

speakers in the DHT-FS5 makes it much easier to hear scripts,

narrations, and other types of spoken words.

• Bass reex, to produce a deep, robust bass sound

from a compact unit

• Super Dynamic Bass (S.D.B.),

for an even stronger deep bass sound
