The ’SR600 offers plenty of connectivity, too,

including 4 digital inputs and component video

switching for 2 sources (with 60MHz bandwidth

dual-room/dual-source output lets you and a friend

listen to different stereo sources in two rooms simul-

taneously — no additional amp needed! (You get

preamp 2nd-room output, too, if you prefer to use

an amp or powered speakers in your 2nd room and

retain main-room multichannel power at all times.)

The ’SR700 also adds a 6.1 preamp output for sys-

tem expandability. Backlighting on the remote allows

easy operation in the dark. Composite-to-S-video

conversion lets you send a variety of A/V sources to

your TV via a single S-video connection. Other step-

ups include a phono input and a coaxial digital out.

96kHz/24-bit DACs deliver excellent sound

from all your digital sources. Dolby® Pro Logic

lets you transform stereo and Dolby Surround

sources (including many VHS movies and some

TV broadcasts) into convincing 5.1 sound. The

TX-SR500 also offers 3 digital inputs, plenty of

ins and outs for your audio and A/V sources, a

5.1 input for DVD-Audio or SACD, and a front-

panel A/V input with S-video for quick hookup of

a camcorder or portable audio gear. Two sets of

main speaker outputs let you power

stereo speakers in a second room, too.
