Dialogue Normalization
The dialegue normalization function is activated automatically when playing Dolby Digital pregram sources.
Dialogue nermalizatk>n is a basic function ef Dolby Digital which automatically normalizes the dialog level (standard level) ef the signals which are
recerded at different levels for different program sources, such as DVD, DTV and ether future fermats that will use Dolby Digital.
These contents can be verified with the STATUS and ON SCREEN butten.

The number indicates the normalizatk>n level when the currently playing pregram is normalized te the
standard level.
NOTE:
When "Default" is selected and the cursor left button is pressed, "CINEMA EQ." and "D.COMR" are automatically turned eff, "LFE" is
reset, and the tene is set te the default value.
The input signal can be checked by pressing the remete contrel unit's ON
SCREEN button.

Checking the input signal

Displays the type ef signal (DTS, DOLBY DIGITAL, PCM, etc.). °mP'_[__'_"
Displays the input signal's sampling frequency. (Remotecontrolunit)
Displays the input signal's number of channels.
"Number of frent channels/Number of surreund channels/LFE en/off"
"SURROUND" is displayed for 2-channel signal sources recorded in Dolby Surround.
Displays the dialog nermalization effset value.
Displays the special identification signal recorded in the input signal.
"MATRIX" is displayed when matrix precessing is conducted on the surreund back
channel, "DISCRETE" is displayed when discrete processing is cenducted.
Not displayed when ne identification signal is recorded.
In addition, screen information is displayed in the fellowing order when the ON SCREEN butten is
pressed repeatedly:
