Adjust sound level
The Sampler playback sound level can be adjusted.
!3 Push the PITCH/VOL. button again when the pitch
input mode, the sound level input mode is set,
PARAMETERS LED flashes and the current
settings are displayed on the character display.
Start Sampler playback.
!4 Tu rning the PARAMETERS knob can change the
output sound level.
!5 Push the PITCH/VOL. button again to turn the
sound level input mode off.
Adjust pitch
The Sampler playback pitch can be adjusted.
!1 Push the PITCH/VOL. button, the pitch input mode
is set, PARAMETERS LED flashes and the current
settings are displayed on the character display.
Start Sampler playback.
!2 Tu rning the PARAMETERS knob can change the
pitch.
When pushing down and turning the PARAMETERS
knob, you can change the pitch range 10 times
faster.

Exit and Reloop
u
The EXIT/RELOOP button
can be used same as
Seamless Loop function.

Reverse Play
i You can play the Sampled
sound in reverse by pushing
the REV button. In reverse
play mode REV LED lights
up and the platter spins
backwards.
Reverse playback will take affect when
you push the SAMP button after reverse
mode has been turned on. To return to
normal forward playback, push the REV
button once again.

Clearing the Sampler data
!0 During the Sampler stop mode, press the
REV/(CLR) button, while pushing the SAMP
button to clear the Sampler.
•Or, by pushing the REV/(CLR) button for
more than. 1 sec, you can clear Sampler.

Moving Sampler B point
o When the B button is
pushed during Sampler
playback, the B point
moves to the point at which
the button was pushed, and
loop playback from point A starts.

Record in Sampler
q When the SAMP button is
pushed in the standby or
play mode, the sound from
SAMP point is recorded to
Sampler memory up to 15
seconds.
The SAMP button is flashing while
recording and a 15 sec REC countdown
display will appear. When the recording is
completed, the button turns off and the
corresponding SAMP B LED lights up.
The remain time of the Sampler memory
is displayed in the character display.

Play Sampler sound
r Playback of the Sampler
sound starts when the
SAMP button is pushed
after recording has
stopped.
Sampler playback continues looping.
When setting a B point, playback loops
between A and B point. Without a B point
the Sampler loops the whole recorded
length (about 15 seconds).
t To stop the Sampler sound
push the STOP button.
Stutter playback of the
sample is possible when
the STOP button is
pushed repeatedly in the STOP mode.

Stop recording
e To stop the sampler
recording, press the STOP
button at any time prior to
15 sec.
The EXIT/RELOOP LED
light to indicates Sampler Loop mode is
set automatically.

DN-S3500 has one Sampler of 15 seconds in length. This Sampler can also be looped and scratched during playback.

Setting B point
w When the B button is
pushed during Sampler
recording, the Sampler
Loop B point is set and the
loop mode turns on.
Recording continues for approximately 15
seconds without stopping after set B
point.
If the B point is not set, the recording end
point is set as your B point automatically.
Also EXIT/RELOOP LED light to indicates
Sampler Loop mode is set automatically.

Select Sampler Loop mode
You can select 1 of 3 playback modes for
Sampler when the Sampler is not playing.
Loop! (default):
Sampler playback continues with
looping.
(EXIT/RELOOP LED stays lit)
Single All!:
Sampler playback continues over B
point up to recording length.
(EXIT/RELOOP LED flashes)
Single B!:
Sampler playback stops at B point.
(EXIT/RELOOP LED turned off)

To select loop mode, push
EXIT/RELOOP button after
recording and before playing.

Copy from A1/A2 sound
You can copy A1/A2 Seamless Loop into the Sampler
up to 15 sec.
!6 Copy from A1
When the B button of the Sampler is pressed,
“SAMP
0 A1” and “Copy/Push Samp” are
displayed.
Then quickly push the SAMP button, the copying
is completed within seconds.
!7 Copy from A2
When the STOP button is pressed, “SAMP
0
A2” and “Copy/Push Samp” are displayed.
Then quickly push the SAMP button, the copying
is completed within seconds.
NOTES:
You can not copy when the Sampler is already loaded.
•You can copy just your Hot Start A1/A2 points
(without a B point set) for up to 15 sec in the Cue
mode.
