Effector
One of the three types can be selected.
Echo/loop Parameter Setting
Turning echo/loop on.
t
Press the
ECHO/LOOP button.
The PARAMETERS knob lights and the parameters
setting screen is displayed.
b When echo/loop indicator is solid (not blinking), press the
ECHO/
LOOP
button to set the parameter selection mode again.

y Turn both the
PARAMETERS
knob and the
EFFECTS
knob to set the echo/loop
parameters.
The PARAMETERS knob flashes.
b The echo feedback level can be set with the
EFFECTS knob, the
echo delay time with the PARAMETERS knob.
Performing echo/loop playback.
When the feedback level is set to the maximum, echo/loop
playback begins with the specified delay time.
b During echo/loop playback, it is possible to search for tracks and
switch between the file play mode and playlist play mode.
Loop fade-out:
In the parameter selection mode, when the back cue or next
track mode is turned on during echo/loop playback, the parameter
selection mode is turned off.
When a new track is selected and playback is started, echo/loop
playback fades out and stops. This makes for a smooth transition
between echo/loop playback and normal playback.
u Press the
PARAMETERS
knob
or the
PLATTER MODE
button
to turn off the parameters
setting screen.
i Press the
ECHO/LOOP
button while the
echo/loop parameters setting screen is
displayed.

Auto BPM Counter
The BPM for the currently playing track or the track at which
the cue standby mode is set is measured automatically and
displayed.
When the auto BPM counter is off, press the TAP button for
over 1 second to turn the auto BPM counter on.
When the auto BPM counter is off, it turns on when the track
changes.
NOTE
It may not be possible to automatically measure the BPM accurately
for some tracks.
In this case, perform the “TAPPING” or “MANUAL INPUT”
procedure.
BPM LOCK
The data measured with the auto BPM function is
locked.
q When the auto BPM counter is on,
press the
TAP
button and release it
immediately.
“BPM LOCK” is displayed for about 1 second.
TAPPING
The BPM is measured according to the
interval between repeated pressings of
the
TAP button.
When the TAP button is pressed, the auto BPM counter turns
off.
w Press the
TAP
button repeatedly 5 ~ 10 times to the
beat of the music.
MANUAL INPUT
e Press and hold in the
TAP
button for
over 2 seconds.
The BPM can now be input manually.
The “Manual In” is displayed.
r
Turn the
EFFECTS
knob and input the BPM value.
b Turn the EFFECTS knob while pressing it to input
values below the decimal point.
b When the TAP button is pressed again, the value you
have input is set and the BPM value is locked.
NOTE
If the MP3 or WAV file includes BPM information in the memo data,
this value is displayed as the initial value. The AUTO/TAP/MANUAL
value can be ignored as this information is more detailed.
