16 CHANGING THE DEFAULT SETTINGS
H The default values preset upon shipment from the factory can be changed.
The default settings are retained until they are agaln changed, even if the power is turned off.
In the stop mode, press the SET UP button.
l The default setting screen appears.
1. Disc Languages
Use this to set the language to be used when playing the disc.
If the set language is not offered on that disc, the disc’s default
language IS set.

Remote control unit
Use this to disable playback of adult DVDs so that children cannot
watch them. Note that playback of adult DVDs cannot be disabled If the
rating level is not recorded on the DVD, but that it is possible to disable
playback of all DVDs.
3. Menu Language
Use this to set the language for the default setting screen and

messages displayed on the TV screen (“PLAY”, etc.).
4. On-Screen Messages
Use this to set whether or not to display messages (“PLAY”, etc.) on
the TV screen.
5. FL Display
Use this to set the brightness of the display.
6. TV Aspect
Set thts according to the size of the connected TV’s screen (4:3 or 16:9).

Use this to set the audio signals output from the digital audio output
connectors.

NOTE:
l When the player is set to the “Lock All” setting in “2 Ratings”,
none of the initial setting, including “2 Rating”, can be changed if the DVD
disc is left inside the player. In this case, remove the disc, and then operate the player.
