Playback
Relay playback
•When multiple DN-SC3900 units are connected on the network,
tracks are played back in the order of the registered “Network ID”
number. A maximum of four DN-SC3900 units can be connected.
•Before starting, use “Utility” – “Preset Setting” – “Network ID”
(vpage41) to set the Network IDs.
Set “Utility” – “Preset Setting” – “Relay” (vpage 42)
to “ON”.
The mode switches to relay playback.
•In relay playback, tracks are played in the following order.
•If relay playback mode is off for a unit, tracks are not played.
•If a “Network ID” number is missing, the number is skipped for
playback.
“Network ID” : 1 “Network ID” : 2
“Network ID” : 4 “Network ID” : 3
•When “OFF” is selected in “Utility” – “Preset Setting” – “Relay”
(vpage42), normal playback is resumed.
•If relay playback mode is set to ON during playback, relay playback
starts from the next track.
n About the track playback order
Depending on the playback mode, the track playback order differs.
For details, see “Setting playback mode” (vpage23).
In SINGLE playback mode
When playback of the track ends, playback of the next track starts on
the player registered with the next “Network ID”.
In CONTINUOUS playback mode
When playback of the last track ends, playback of the first track starts
on the player registered with the next “Network ID”.
Network playback operations
Automatically adjusting BPM
When multiple DN-SC3900 units, are connected on the network, the
BPM value from the desired player (MASTER) is set as the BPM on all
otherplayers(Slave)(BPMSYNCfunction).
n Set as “Master”
This sets the device that will be the standard when adjusting the
BPM value.
Press and hold BPM SYNC on the device that you want
to be “MASTER”.
•“SYNCMaster”appearsonthedisplay.
•BPM SYNC flashes, and the “Master” setting is complete.
•When the “Master” is set, all other connected players are set as
“Slave”.
•If another player is already set as “Master”, set the other players to
“Slave” before setting the desired unit to “Master”.
n Setting the “Master” BPM to the “Slave” BPM
Press BPM SYNC on the unit set as “Slave”.
•“BPM-SYNC”isshowninthedisplay,andtheBPMissettothe
“Master” BPM.
•The PITCH indicator flashes, and the pitch value is shown in the
display.
•Pitch adjustment is locked.
•When the pitch value at which the pitch slider is locked is matched,
the pitch lock is released.
•Even if the connection between units in the BPM SYNC status is
cancelled, pitch lock is maintained.
•When the track on the “Master” unit changes, the “Master”
settings are transferred to the initially synced “Slave”. At this time, if
the pitch is locked for the “Master” device, pitch lock is maintained.
NOTE
This setting cannot be used unless one of the devices is set to
“Master”.
