The DN-V750/V755s on-screen display function makes it possible to superimpose a character display on the picture.
There are two basic types of OSD displays, as follows:
Status display : Displays the status with respect to operation of the buttons on the front panel. The status with respect to operations
performed with serial remote commands is not displayed.
User OSD : Users can write any character strings they want on the OSD. This is done using serial remote commands.
When both the status display and user OSD are on, the status display has priority, so the user OSD is not displayed until the status display
turns off.
2 Turning the display of the OSD on and off
The MODE selector switches on the rear panel determine whether the OSD is displayed or not when the power is turned on, but once
the power is turned on the OSD can be turned on and off with the DS serial command as well.
Basically, the status display is displayed with respect to operation of the buttons on the front panel not for serial remote operations.
By default, the user OSD display is turned off when the power is turned on.
OSD display on/off control by serial remote command
Display of the OSD is turned on and off using the DS serial remote command. Both the status OSD and user OSD can be controlled
by serial remote command.

If set to the ON position when the power is turned on, the status OSD is not displayed.

The status display indicates the status with respect to operation of the front panel buttons. The
status display has priority over the user OSD display.
The status of the play mode, etc., is displayed at the upper left, while the other supplementary
